PERIPORITIS ( Pustular miliria )

What is Periporitis?
Periporitis is an inflammation of the sweat pore or a deep infection of the sweat glands, ducts and deep cutis. It is also known as pustular miliria or multiple sweat glands abscesses.

Cause
It is commonly caused a bacteria known as staphylococcus aureus.

Sign and Symptoms
1) Lessions begins as multiple eryhematous papules and nodules over forehead,face, scalp and upper trunk.
2) Over several days they progress to form non-tender fluctuant thin walled abscess.

Who’s at risk?
Periporitis is commonly seen in children in the summer , malnutrition and poor hygiene.

Home remedies
1) Crusts may be removed by repeated gentle washing with water and soap.
2) Keep hygiene.

Treatment
1)Use topical antibiotics cream or ointment as prescribed by your doctor.
2) Individual may use oral antibiotics as prescribed by doctor.
